 In addition to earning multiple Joint Commission accreditations, Spalding Regional has received several awards and commendations thanks to the dedication of our team members and physicians, including distinctions from the American Heart Association, Georgia Association of Emergency Medical Services and American College of Surgeons.   The Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine has been named National Center of Distinction. Our Primary Stroke Center was presented with the Gold Plus – Target: Stroke Honor Role Elite award by The American Heart/ American Stroke Association. The hospital’s Emergency Medical Services was named “Best in the State” and was given the Gold Award for Cardiac Services from the prestigious American Heart Association.  Recently, our hospital was bestowed with a statewide Quality and Patient Safety Award, regarding the Infection Prevention and Control category, from Partnership for Health and Accountability (PHA).

Several home care organizations operate in Griffin, as well as a number of private practices offering a wide range of services, including X-Ray, lab work and minor surgery. The Family Medical Center and First Care Clinic specialize in total family health care.
